A complete change in the way things are done.
In political terms it is the overthrow of a governemnt by the polpe it governs
They are alomst always violent as the ruling class rarely wishes to give up privileges

What were the geographic considerations that contributed to the american revolution?
The distance of the colonies from great britian created an independence that was hard to overcome.
How did the colonial Mindset contribute to the american revolution?
Those willing to colonize the new world generally had a strong independent strak desiring new opportunities and more freedom.
How did the French India war contribute to the american revolution?
This war between Britian and France ended with the victorious British deeply in debt and demanding more revenue from the colonies.
How did more taxes contribute to the american revolution?
New taxes were placed on a vareity of items to generate more revenue. This revenue was to help cover cost of running colonies.
What were the intolerable acts?
a series of four laws passed by the British Parliament to punish the colony of Massachusetts Bay for the Boston Tea Party.
