TEST5 Flashcards
Environment
all stimuli that affect behavior at any given moment
Coercive family process
Interactions between parents and children defined by negative reinforcement
Habilitation
Original learning prior to the interference we call disability;
*Learning a whole system of behaviors
Disabilitation
Learning to be disabled;
*Loss without learning, interference learning or learning different alternatives because of disability.
Rehabilitation
Learning to be better able;
*Learning new skills
Constraint-induced movement therapy
Restricting movement of the normal limb and reinforcing use of the defective limb.
Four-term contingency

Food deprivation lever press food
Prompted or cued recall
All remembering is prompted or cued … or under (specific) stimulus (SD) control.
What is Chance’s definition of forgetting?
Deterioration in learned behavior following a
retention interval.
Why is decay theory wrong?
Decay theory is wrong because time cannot explain forgetting and because we cannot actually see memory so it cannot decay.
Forgetting (Class def) -
Decrease in the probability of behavior, which fits with our definition of learning.
Reinforcement Traps
The naturally occurring negative reinforcement of both child and parent coercive behavior
