T2Q1 Thigh: Muscle Innervation Flashcards
anterior compartment of thigh
femoral nerve
medial compartment of thigh
obturator nerve: gracilis, adductor longus, adductor brevis, adductor magnus, non hamstring, obturator exernus
femoral nerve: pectineus
adductor magnus, hamstring part- tibial nerve
posterior thigh
semitendonsus, semimembranosus- tibial nerve
biceps femoris-
long head- tibial nerve
short head- common fibular nerve
gluteal medial thigh
mostly obturator nerve
*pectineus is innervated by the femoral
posterior leg
tibial nerve
lateral leg
superficial fibular nerve
anterior leg
deep fibular nerve
gluteal region
superior gluteal nerve: tensor fascae lata, gluteus medius,
inferior gluteal nerve: gluteus maximus
sacral plexus: small muscles (piriformis, gemelli, obturator, quadratus)
