T1- DOESN’t reach hand
superficial palmar arch
ulnar artery- major source, digits 5-2.5 medial
radial artery- thumb and 2.5 lateral
deep palmar arch
a branch of the radial artery, distal to the superificial palmar branch
palmar metacarpal arteries
smal connections between the deep arch and common digital arteries
common flexor sheath
a covering for tendons in the carpal tunnel. It’s continuous with the sheath of the 5th of the digit.
The 4-1 digits do their own things
digital sheath v. common flexor sheath
infection of the digital sheaths will not likely spread into the palm
extensor expansion (hood)
1 central band- insert into middle phalanx
2 lateral bands- distal phalanx
“hood” tranverse ligament surrounds tendon and serves as insertion for interossueus and lumbrical muscles
common palmar digital artery
a branch of the superficial palmar branch of the radial artery
princeps pollicis artery
arises from the radial artery, splits into radilais indicis artery (digit 2.5 lateral)
proper palmar digital artery
digital artery, a branch of the radial artery
