Anything you do that helps you remember God.
- This can include helping someone/being nice to someone as you are remembering what God wants

As its done to an extreme:
- you forget the duniya (outside world)
- You’re in ecstasy with God
- You feel the presence of God
- you receive sakeenah (special blessing) from God

How does sufism relate to our ego?
- Sufism helps kill your ego as you reject your desires and prioritise worship e.g. not being greedy

Why may someone say that sufism is not part of Islam?
Someone may say that sufism is not part of Islam as Islam is based on the personal connection between a human and God so murshids are not needed
Why may someone say that we need murshids?
- We need guidance
