(predestination) The belief that Allah has preordained certain things and put in place fixed universal laws

Why is al-qadr important to Muslims?
A
- It affirms God’s omnipotence and his ability to know everything there is to know
- Muslims know the laws governing the universe iare designed for the benefit of humanity
- God’s knowledge of everything helps Muslims understand that everything happens for a reason and is part of Allah’s plan

What does Islam teach about free will and al qadr?
A
Muslims believe they have free will and it is sometimes in harmony with Gods will or against god’s will. So he knows what choices we will make but he may be against them

Why is free will important in the day of judgement?
A
It means people will be judged on their own choices and whether they were bad or good

What are the implications of Al Qadr today?
A
- Reminds muslims of Allah’s omniscience and that they should be prepared to answer for their deeds in the next life
- Muslims trust Allah is in control of everything in the universe
- It is one of the six beliefs so no muslims faith is complete without it
