any documented processes and procedures; corporate knowledge base; project archives
Functional Organization Structure
employees report to one manager; PM has little or no power
Matrix Organization Structure
employees report to both functional manager and the PM
Weak Matrix = little PM power
Balanced Matrix = moderate PM power
Strong Matrix = almost full PM power
Project-Oriented Organization Structure
employees work directly for the PM
