Q

When is a loop stomas done?

A
  1. when a defunctioning stoma is needed
  2. after a colonic resection, in order to allow the bowel anastomoses (re-connection) to heal properly they do a temporarily defunctioning loop stoma and reverse it a few months later

Q

What is an end stoma?

A
