A
An anatomical disruption of nerve fibre tracts in one half of the spinal cord.

A
Lateral hemisection of the spinal cord.

A
- Cord Trauma - Penetrating Injury.
- Neoplasms.
- Disc Hernation.
- Demyelination.
- Infection/Inflammation.
- Epidural Haematoma.

Clinical Features of Brown -Sequard Syndrome (3).
A
Below Level of Injury :
- Ipsilateral Hemiplegia.
- Ipsilateral Loss of Propriception and Vibration.
- Contralateral Loss of Pain and Temperature Sensation.

Management of Brown-Sequard Syndrome (4).
A
- Treat Underlying Cause.
- Surgery Intervention if Foreign Object, CSF Leakage, Infection or Compression.
- Medical - Infective, Inflammatory, Demyelinating.
- Surgical - Compression.
