Lower Motor Neurone lesion - high-stepping gait and foot drop.

Give 4 causes of a unilateral high-stepping gait.
A
- Radiculopathy at L5 Root.
- Neuropathy of Sciatic Nerve.
- Neuropathy of Common Peroneal Nerve.
- Polio at Anterior Horn.

Give 3 causes of a bilateral high-stepping gait.
A
- Cauda Equina.
- Peripheral Neuropathy.
- Polyneuropathies e.g. GBS, CMTD.

Broad-Based Ataxic Gait.

Give 3 causes of Spastic & Circumducting Gait.
A
They are usually accompanied by other UMN signs.
- Multiple Sclerosis.
- Space-Occupying Lesions (SOLs).
- Tumours.

- Cord Lesions - due to Trauma, Compression, Syringomyelia or Transverse Myelitis.
- Bihemispheric Brain Lesions - due to Cerebral Palsy or Multiple Sclerosis.
