Women are more religious than men.
- they express greater interest and commitment to religion.
- They have higher participation rate in religious rituals and ceremonies then men. for e.g 2005 there were all 1.8 million female churchgoers than compared to men 1.3 million.
- however recent trends there has been decrease 16% in religious practices amongst women age 30-45
