SCT is a primary resource for understanding SE. The theory that behavior is determined by 3 factors which interact with each other in dynamic and reciprocal ways:
1. Personal (beliefs & self efficacy) 2. Environmental (support & role models) and
3. Behavioral factors (experiences & accomplishments)

Social Cognitive Theory Principles:
Cognitive learning principles focus on what you know rather than what has happened to you. They are oriented toward structure and order and focus on plans and active approaches: when you think about something and then do it. SCT emphasizes the dynamic interaction between people (personal factors), their behavior, and their environments.
