Clifford sifting was very eager to bring immigrants to Canada. Mostly English speaking, anglophone stop Canada

The government or the person who sold the land to the immigrants, but mostly the Canadian government

What type of immigrants did the government target?
The governments view for Canada were English speaking. So they targeted people who spoke English or would be willing to learn English

They left out that Canada had very long harsh winters

Canada was like a trap. The ads were very misleading and the people could not afford to move back to their home countries. It was cold and they had to build their own houses

A factor that pushes people to leave their homeland
What is a pull factor?
A factor that pulls people to move to a certain country

Many different religious groups settling in Canada
Who were the Hutterites?
They were a Protestant religious group who came to Canada so they did not have to fight in the war

They encouraged many French catholics and had a special addition of a French newspaper
