What can training methods used for?
To improve fitness and each designed for a specific purpose, to improve a specific aspect of fitness, and each suits different sports and activities.
Fartlek
A method of training for runners where the terrain and speed are constantly changing
Continuous training
A series of certain completed for a certain amount of time/reps after one another
Plyometrics
Exercises where muscles use maximum force in short intervals of time
Explosiveness
The rate of force development is at maximum for any type of muscle action using explosive power.
Weight/ resistance training
Uses progressive resistance, either in the form of the actual weight lifted or in therms of the number of times the weight is lifted (repetitions)
What is weight/resistance used for?
