Visual guidance
When a coach show a learner how to do something by them physically watching it. Easy to understand however if its demonstrated in a video you will not be able to ask questions
Verbal guidance
When the coach explains something to the leaner by speaking. This isnt as easy to understand for beginners however you can explain in further detail how to complete a task
Manual/mechanical guidance
When the coach is physically in contact with the learner to help them perform. This can help the learner to feel what the move should feel like however it isnt possible for use in all sports
Intrinsic feedback
Is how you feel about how your own performance went.
Extrinsic feedback
This is feedback from an outside source
Concurrent feedback
Feedback given during the sport
Terminal feedback
Feedback given at the end of the game or performance
Open skill
A skill where the situation is always changing so it is hard to practise repetitively
Closed skill
A skill that your can replicated over again in the exact same way
Basic skill
A skill that is easy to perform that needs little concentration
Complex skill
A skill that needs the players full attention so complete
Low organisation skill
A skill that clear separate parts that it can be broken down into
High organisation skill
Has lots of complicated parts and is hard to explain how to complete
