What is a lever and applly it to a sport?
In your body the term ‘lever’ refers to a system of muscles and bones working together to bring about movement.
When you exercise, your muscles pull on your bones, and tyour nones create movement, acting as levers.
What are the three types of levers?
First class Second class Third class
How does a lever work?
A lever is a structure that has four components:
A fulcrum-(or piviot) the point around which the lever rotated
How do you remember the order of the levers?
By a term 'FLE' First class lever- Fulcrum is in the middle. Second class lever-Load is in the middle Third class lever- Effort is in the middle
What is an example of first class lever in exercise?
A tricep dip would be an example of a first class lever. The elbow fulcrum, effort applied by tricep, load weight in the hand.
What is an example of Second Class Leaver?
Second class leaver sits between the fulcrum and effort an example of this is a wheelbarrow. The wheel is the fulcrum, the handles take the effort the load is placed between the two.
