Drip Torch
A
- Shakes
- Places torch in a clear area and loosens and removes lock ring
- Loosens and removes fuel flow plug, inspects “O” ring, and places it hand tight on
blind threaded retainer - Removes fuel spout, checks fuel level in the tank, and checks gasket on spout
- Turns spout assembly over and sets it atop drip torch with wick pointed away from
tank handle - Slips lock ring over spout, threaded side down, and tightens lock ring in place
- Opens air vent 3⁄4 of the way
- Pours small amount of fuel on ground and lights it with match or fusee
- Lights drip torch wick by inverting torch above flaming fuel
Extinguish and Disassemble - Blows out wick and allows it to cool
- Removes lock ring and places it on clean surface
- Refills tank to 3⁄4 full
- Inserts spout assembly wick into tank
- Replaces lock ring and hand tightens it
- Removes fuel flow plug from retainer and places it to block fuel flow to spout
- Closes air vent
