das Rathaus - es (neutral)
the street - she (feminine)
die Straße - sie (feminin)
the buildings - they (plural)
de Gebäude - sie (Plural)
There are also people who are “neutral” : the child, the baby , the girl
Es gibt auch Personen, die “neutral” sind: das Kind, das Baby, das Mädchen.
The kid is laughing. It is happy.
Das Kind lacht. Es ist glücklich.
For “the girl” we often use “she” in colloquial language: The girl is laughing. She is called Anna.
Für “das Mädchen” verwenden wir oft “sie” in der Umgangssprache: Das Mädchen lacht. Sie heißt Anna.
