Role of aponea in SIDS
Central ( brain forgets to breath) and obstruction ( choking on milk GOR)
Aponea increases the risk of SIDS

Add in an URTI and much higher risk of SIDS

Family history of aponea OSA Acute life threatening event Witnessed aponea Preterm infant with ongoing chronic lung disease Family history of SIDS Snuffle baby Facial dysmorphism Parental concern
