Q

What is the pathophysiology of sepsis

A
  1. A complex interaction with the immune system and the pathogen
  2. Inflammatory responce of vasodialtion, increases permeabiity and migration of WBC
  3. Dysregulation of haemostasis
  4. Endothelial barrier is compromised so the WBC can get to the tissue
  5. Hypotension due to vascular component reducting
  6. Anaerobic respiration due to hypoperfusion
