What is clairvoyance?
The perception of remote events
ex. someone could predict a friend landed at the airport without being there
What is embodied cognition?
Refers to the influence of physical sensations on cognitive processes.
ex. touch, smell, body movement
What is extrasensory perception (ESP)?
The ability to perceive things in the absence of sensory stimuli?
ex. people can read thought, predict the future, etc.
What is the McGurk effect?
The perceptual phenomenon that shows an interaction between hearing and vision while perceiving speech
What is parapsychology?
The study of phenomena that fall outside the scientific realm of psychology

Involves perceiving future events
ex. fortune tellers

The principle that explains your sense interacts with and influences each other.
vision is dominant, and influences all of your other senses
ex. taste(texture), vision, inability for a sense

A neurological event when a sensory response activates another sensory system.
individuals who have this are synesthetes.
Ex. synesthetes may hear music as color or numbers as tastes

Involves communication with the mind alone
