Q
What is the difference between sensory and absolute thresholds?
A
sensory thresholds:
the smallest difference between two stimuli is just detectable 50 percent of the time.
absolute thresholds:
it is the lowest level of stimulation a person can consciously detect 50 percent of the time the stimulation is present.
Ex: A candle flame 30 miles away on a clear dark night.
