What are all the skills/abilities that an infant has?

A

Reflexes are responses that are inborn and do not have to be learned.
Newborns have reflexes to make sure that they are fed.

This includes:

The Rooting Reflex: when a newborn’s cheek is touched the newborn turns towards that side with an open mouth

The sucking reflex: basically sucking which can be triggered by a fingertip

Crying when hungry: Used to motivate the parents to feed and quiet the baby

They also have the ability the perceive faces.
