A value
Input
Comparator
Output
The Feedback control system aassumes behaviour is _________.
Purposeful
What should self-directed attention do?
increase goal comparisons and realign behaviour in relation to the goal
Goals and Intentions create multiple layers of feedback loops, what is a feedback hierarchy?
An organization of feedback loops, where superordinate loops act by providing referehce values to subordinate loops
In Hierarchal organization, what are lower levels like?
They may take priority over higher levels
They may be shared across different higher levels
Lower levels of different goals can distrupt each other
Obstacles in Hierarchal organization might lead to negative emotions, which may unsettle _________ and ________.
Progress and Effort
What allows people to pursue similar yet different higher-level goals?
Partial disengagement
Emotions as a reflection of the status of self-regulation may lead to ____________.
Reorganization
Not all goals are approach based, some are _________ based
avoidance
