People with high self-efficacy believe they can succeed so they’re more motivated, and vice versa

Experiencing success builds self-belief

Unintentional reinforcement

Encouragement and discouragement effects out self-efficacy
What are emotional states?
Self-efficacy is influenced by someone’s emotional state
What is the strength of self efficacy theory?
Offers practical applications as relaxation training (emotional states) can lead to improvement of self-efficacy
What is the weakness of self efficacy theory?
Self-efficacy isn’t always a good thing as “Vancouver et al” found footballers with high self-efficacy were over their head and perform worst their second game
