What are mastery experiences?
Experiencing success builds self-belief
What is vicarious reinforcement?
Unintentional reinforcement

Encouragement and discouragement effects out self-efficacy
What are emotional states?
Self-efficacy is influenced by someone’s emotional state
What is the strength?
Offers practical applications as relaxation training (emotional states) can lead to improvement of self-efficacy
What is the weakness?
Self-efficacy isn’t always a good thing as “Vancouver et al” found footballers with high self-efficacy were over their head and perform worst their second game
