It is a stimulator of Beta 2 receptors

A
- Bronchospasm secondary to asthma or CORD
* Prominent bronchospasm secondary to airway burns or smoke inhalation

Contras/Cautions/Pregnancy and Salbutamol?

Contras:
Known severe allergy
Cautions:
None
Pregnancy
Safe and may be administered if indicated

What dosage of salbutamol should be used
A
5mg. The initial dose is combined with 0.5mg of ipratropium but subsequent doses are not

What are common adverse effects of salbutamol?
A
Tremor
Tachycardia

Onset 2-5 mins, duration 1-2 hours
