S/G Tube Leak AOP Flashcards
What radiation monitors might alarm during a S/G Tube Leak?
- SRA-1900/2900 (SJAE)
- SRA-1800/2800 (GSLO)
- DRA-300 (S/G Blowdown Sampling)
- DRA-353 (S/G Blowdown Treatment)
What conditions during a S/G Tube Leak would require a Rx Trip? (Only a trip)
- VCT level cannot be maintained.
- > 50 gpm leakrate
What conditions during a S/G Tube Leak would require a Rx Trip AND SI?
- PZR level cannot be maintained with one charging pump and letdown is isolated.
- > 100 gpm leakrate
What conditions during a S/G Tube Rupture would require a shutdown and with what time requirements?
- ≥ 75 gpd leakrate: Be in MODE 3 within 24 hours.
- ≥ 150 gpd leakrate: Be in MODE 3 within 6 hours.
- ≥ 75 gpd, but < 150 gpd and leakrate rate of change exceeds 30 gpd/hr: Reduce power to <50% in 1 hour and MODE 3 within next 2 hours.
What is the FOP criteria for S/G Tube Leak? (4022-002-021)
S/G Tube Leakage Criteria: If leakage is equal to or > 100gpm then:
- Trip Rx
- Go to E-0 step 1
- Initiate SI after verification of Rx trip.
While isolating steam flow from a S/G with a Tube Leak, what setpoint is the leaking S/G PORV set to and why?
- 1040#
- Minimizes the spread of contamination.
While performing S/G Tube Leak (4022-002-021) after the Rx has been shutdown, what criteria will require the operator to initiate SI?
- PZR level cannot be maintained > 7%
-OR- - Subcooling < 40F
While performing S/G Tube Leak (4022-002-021) after the Rx has been shutdown, what is the cooldown rate limit?
Equal to or < 100F in any one hour period.
What is the Tech Spec Limit for S/G Tube Leakage?
Limited to 150 gallons per day through any ONE S/G.
