Measure gap between inner race and guide by insertingfeeler gage between swashplate guide and inner race of spherical bearing (Figure 1). MAXIMUM GAP IS 0.028-INCH. NO METAL-TO-METAL CONTACT PERMITTED.
Outer Race - MAXIMUM GAP IS 0.012-INCH. NO METAL-TO-METAL CONTACT PERMITTED.

When inspecting the inboard retention plate, what is checked and with what tool?
When inspecting the inboard retention plate, check the nylon shims one inch in from the edge of each corner using a micrometer for proper thickness.
During the maintenance process of the Tail Rotor, when must a clamp-up check be done?
Any time the outboard/inboard retention plate, and tail rotor blades have been replaced, a clamp-up check must be done during the reinstallation process.
What is the purpose of the Tail Rotor Counter Weight?
There is a counter weight on the tail rotor blade to keep the blade centered if the pitch control rod should fail.
What does the Main Rotor consist of?
The main rotor consists of a four bladed, fully articulated, elastomeric rotor.
