Electrical Flashcards
What component provides connection between the No. 1 and the No. 2 DC primary buses?
K202 Realy
Where is the #1 battery junction box located?
Avionics nose tunnel in front of #2 FCC computer
What components energize the No. 1 converter line contactor K101 and No. 2 converter line contactor K201?
1 & #2 converters energize the K101 and K201
Power to energize the K502 relay comes from what bus?
1 or #2 DC BATT Utility Buss via the battery switches through de-energized K102 and K203’s.
With a #2 Converter failure, turning off the #2 Battery switch would cause what to occur?
lose power to DC ESS Buss and DC Batt buss
What are the three ways we use to produce power in the UH-60M?
Magnetism (Generators), Chemical (Batteries), Heat (Thermocouple Harness)
What do we use in the UH-60M to change AC to DC power?
Convertors
What type of circuit provides the same voltage to all its customers?
a Parallel circuit
What relay will cause the battery low light to illuminate?
K300
What current limiter protects the #2 battery from a short to ground fault between the battery and the battery junction box?
CL 84
How long will the batteries provide uninterrupted emergency power in flight?
12 Min (IETM)
(Approximately 80% charged)
15 Min (-10)
What is the general description of the APU generator?
115/200 VAC Brushless air cooled 3 phase 400hz
What functions do the GCU’s provide and at what threshold do they provide them?
Under frequency 370-380HZ
Under voltage 100 +/- 5
Over voltage 124-126 (or 125 +/-1)
Feeder fault
Current and voltage regulation
Describe the primary flow of power from the ac primary bus to the AC REF bus.
1 side: Through the #1 AC primary bus through the #1 AUTO XFMR CB through T115 through energized K13.
What is the flow of power to the ac reference bus if you are at 100% and you turn the #1 Generator off and the APU Generator is off-line?
Same as Question #3 except power from the #1 side is now being supplied through CL 1,2,3 from K2.
