Explain - Parties need to organise public events to meet citizens and promote themselves
Example - SNP and Conservatives organised volunteers to leaflet and canvas voters in Falkirk, 2021.
POINT - TO PRODUCE AND MANIFEST POLICIES
Explain - Parties need to set out and make their promises public, these can be used if elected to hold the government to account.
Example - SNP and Greens both put supporting independence on their manifesto
POINT - TO ENGAGE WITH THE MEDIA
Explain - the parties will use social media to promote their party as well as take part in TV debates , radio interviews and be covered in newspapers.
Example - the leaders of all the holyrood parties took part in a tv debate in 2021
