  1. Road Controlling Authorities have to design, build, maintain raods, manage speeds to protect responsible road users.
  2. The Vehicle Industry has to provide safe vehicles and be socially responsible when marketing vehicles to consumers.
  3. Central and Local Governments have to inform and educate NZ’s about road safety, provide effective safety regulation and adequately fund road safety.
  4. Road Users take steps to increase their road safety, complying with road rules, being unimpaired by alcohol/drugs/fatigue or distraction.
  5. Employers ensure corporate policy & pratice supports a positive road safety culture based on a Safe System approach
