Magnetic direction from the aircraft to the DF-station
QDR

True direction from the aircraft to the DF-station

True direction from the DF-station to the aircraft
LOP
True direction from the DF-station to the aircraft (line of position)
Station-passing of VOR
- TO/FROM indication disappears short and comes back
- Course deviation bar (CDB) disappears and comes back
- Single Bearingpointer disappears and comes back
- Coursepointer remains indicated all time
Station-passing of NDB
The double bearing pointer disappears for approx. 1 second.
Then it swings back to the previous (old) MB and indicates this for approx. 9 seconds. After this the new MB will be indicated than.
Before a beacon/waypoint can be used for navigation:
Tune
Identify
Ensure identification
Tune: the frequency of the beacon/waypoint has to be tuned/ locked in
Identify: the identification of the beacon has to be checked. (Morse- Alphabet)
Ensure identification: ensure, that the UHF- receiver is set to “ADF”, or the nav- source for the bearingpointer is set to VOR, ADF or GPS
