Q

How does the frozen zoo work

A

Fibroblast cell cultures are established from skin biopsies and stored in the Frozen Zoo
- A virus delivers 4 factors into the fibroblast cells which “rewinds them” into stem cells. Stem cells can become any cell type in the body, even gametes. Goal: They could bring them together to make sperm and egg which could lead to NWR embryos in the laboratory
