A

Found in wild African elephants near Zimbabwe. Degenerates nerves in the trunk. Reduces food intake and can lead to lead poisoning

Define EEHV (Elephant Endotheliotropic Herpesvirus)

A

Damages endothelial cells- internal bleeding. Affects captive and wild populations. Most common in Asian species. 85% diagnosed die. Unable to culture the virus- little research

Define tuberculosis

A

A pathogen that creates exercise intolerance, anorexia, weight loss, though some can be asymptomatic. Transmitted through the air. Zoonotic. Can cross between species. Bacteria attacks the lungs and even the spine and brain.
