AVOIR
- j’ai = I have
- tu as = you have (fam.)

- elles ont = they have (f.) (pl.)
- ils ont = they have (m.) (pl.)
ALLER
- je vais = I go / I am going
- tu vas = you go / you are going (fam.)

- nous allons = we go / we are going

Don’t forget to use the preposition à to express going somewhere!
Ex. Je vais à la bibliothèque.
I am going to the library.
When the noun is MASCULINE, use the prepostion au! [au restaurant / au café / au cinéma / au parc]
Ex. Nous allons au cinéma.
We are going to the movie theatre.
When the noun is PLURAL, use the preposition aux! [aux restaurants / aux cafés / aux cinémas / au parcs]
Ex. Ils vont aux musées.
They are going to museums.
PRENDRE
- je prends = I have / I take / I am taking
- tu prends = you have / you take / you are taking (fam.)
- il prend = he has / he takes / he is taking
- elle prend = she has / she takes / she is taking
- on prend = one has / one takes / one is taking
- nous prenons = we have / we take / we will take
- vous prenez = you have / you take / you are taking (form.) (pl.)
- ils prennent = they have / they take / they are taking (m. & f.) (m.) (pl.)
- elles prennent = they have / they take / they are taking (f.) (pl.)
Use prendre only when ordering a meal!
Ex. Nous prenons le déjeuner à midi.
We have / are having lunch at noon.
APPRENDRE
- **je apprends **= I learn / I am learning
- tu apprends = you learn / you are learning (fam.)
- il apprend = he learns / he is learning
- elle apprend = she learns / she is learning
- **on apprend **= one learns / one is learning
- nous apprenons = we learn / we will learn
- vous apprenez = you learn / you are learning (form.) (pl.)

Ex. Nous apprenons le français.
We learn / are learning French.
When expressing “to learn to”, use the preposition à!
Ex. Elles apprennent à nager.
They learn to swim. / They are learning how to swim.
COMPRENDRE

BOIRE
- je bois = I drink / I am drinking
- tu bois = you drink / you are drinking (fam.)
- il boit = he drinks / he is drinking
- **elle boit **= she drinks / she is drinking
- on boit = one drinks / one is drinking
- nous buvons = we drink / we are drinking
- vous buvez = you drink / you are drinking (form.) (pl.)
- ils vont = they drink / they are drinking (m. & f.) (m.) (pl.)
- **elles vont **= they drink / they are drinking (f.) (pl.)
Don’t forget to use the articles un, une, de, de la, de l’, des!
Ex. Nous buvons un café.
We drink / are drinking (a cup of) coffee.
Ex. Ils boivent une limonade.
They drink / are drinking lemon soda.
Ex. Tu bois du café.
You drink / are drinking some coffee.
Ex. Il boit d l’eau minérale.
He drinks / is drinking mineral water.
