What is marriage?
A legal contract between two or more people to unite one another.
What is divorce?
The ending of a legal marriage.

Marrying again after a divorce.

For - Catholics believe that the purpose of sex is procreation/ reproduction. Because they believe that children should be raised in a stable environment, catholics might choose not to have sex outside of marriage as it is seen as irresponsible.
Against- Buddhists believe that it is more important that the sex acts are respectful and loving, with the full consent of everyone involved, rather than that the partners are married.
What is a buddhists opinion on marriage?
Marriage is not seen as a religious duty, or sacred act.
What do Christians believe about marriage?
They believe that marriage is sacred ( a special gift from God).
What is the purpose of marriage?
To provide a loving relationship, to create a loving family and raise children in the faith of christianity.
