Where can the creation story be found?
In the book of Genesis.
What does the Genesis account teach?
God created the world in 6 days/ periods of time, resting on the 7th.
What does Genesis show?
God created the world on purpose, in a specific order and that God is pleased with his creation.
How did God create humans?
In his image - shows we are special. This gives humans dominion/ stewardship over the world.
What do some Christian’s believe about the Genesis account?
Some believe it is literally true whilst others believe some parts are true but that science can tell us what happened in more detail.
How does the creation story influence Christian’s?
It shows the world was created intentionally and that nature is as it should be, leading Christian’s to believe it is a sin to go against what is natural.
Which parts of the Trinity were involved in the creation?
All.
Christians believe that God created the universe ex nihlo. What does ex nihlo mean?
out of nothing.
How do beliefs about creation influence Christians?

How does creation influence Christians today?
Shows the power of God/ Shows he is special/ encourages christians to value life/ shows that we are created in the image of God.
