Where do you find Registration legislation?
Road Transport (Vehicle Registration) Regulation 2017
What is exempt from registration?
1) A vehicle being towed by a tow truck.
2) An agricultural implement towed by another vehicle, or a trailer towed by an agricultural machine.
3) A vehicle being driven to or from land that is being used for primary production.
4) Any trailer used for road construction, repair or maintenance or, used on public park or land for rolling maintenance.
5) A golf or green keeping vehicle used during the game or maintenance of the course.
6) Any vehicle temporarily in NSW and is registered in another State or Country.
7) A trailer being towed (other than a boat trailer) by a Victorian registered motor vehicle.
8) A vehicle being used by a Rural Fire Brigade and displaying the name of the brigade.
9) Any vehicle used in connection with police work.
10) Lawnmowers under 250 kgs unladen.
11) Power-assisted pedal cycles not exceeding 200 watts.
12) Mobility scooter.
13) Any vehicle being driven for the purposes of obtaining registration.
14) Any vehicle being driven for the purpose of obtaining an unregistered vehicle permit.
15) A self-propelled elevating work platform.
