Unknown, one of most common rheum diseases, non progressive
Fibromyalgia- Sx
Trigger points of pain- trapezius, medial fat pad of knee, lateral epicondyle of elbow + fatigue, numbness, HA, IBS

Clinical- exclude thyroid, polymyositis, polymyalgia
Fibromyalgia- Tx
CBT, exercise, amtriptyline
Complex regional pain syndrome- Eti
Preceeded by minor physical trauma, rare autonomic and vasomotor instability disorder
Complex regional pain syndrome- Sx
Local pain, extremity swelling, color & temp disturbances in affected limb, often affects hand, limited ROM, skin & nail dystrophy
Complex regional pain syndrome- Dx
Severe generalized osteopneia on x-ray, bone scan
Complex regional pain syndrome- Tx
Nortripyline, gabapentin, NSAIDs, PT, nerve blocks
Chronic fatigue syndrome- Eti
Lifetime fatigue is 25%, 3 major components- generalized weakness, ways fatigue ability, mental fatigue
Chronic fatigue syndrome- Sx
Weight loss, fever, sleep disordered breathing, medications- Must have 4+ symptoms > 6 months: impaired memory, sore throat, tender lymph nodes, muscle pain, mutijoint pain, new headaches, unrefreshing sleep, post exertion malaise.

Lots of labs & imaging to rule out everything else

CBT, exercise, manage coexisting disorders
