A

-Movements are first perceived between 18 and 20 weeks
Majority of women experiencing a still birth perceive a reduction in foetal movements
-Foetal movements tend to plateau at 32 weeks but they should not stop

RFM Management

A
  • History
  • Be aware of association of RFM FGR, SGA< placental insufficiency and malformations
  • Auscultate heart using a handheld doppler
  • Assess foetal size with aim of detecting SGA
  • If over 28 weeks, heart rate is detected but still RFM; CTG
  • If CTG normal but RFM still suspected, USS
  • SUM- doppler, if normal but still worried; CTG if normal but still worried; USS
