RFM Definition
A
-Movements are first perceived between 18 and 20 weeks
Majority of women experiencing a still birth perceive a reduction in foetal movements
-Foetal movements tend to plateau at 32 weeks but they should not stop

RFM Management
A
- History
- Be aware of association of RFM FGR, SGA< placental insufficiency and malformations
- Auscultate heart using a handheld doppler
- Assess foetal size with aim of detecting SGA
- If over 28 weeks, heart rate is detected but still RFM; CTG
- If CTG normal but RFM still suspected, USS
- SUM- doppler, if normal but still worried; CTG if normal but still worried; USS
