- Majority will have retractile by 10 years of age
- Almost all by 16-17
- Poor hygiene and enthusiastic attempted correction increase risk
- Can be caused by chronic balanoposthitis in diabetes

-Swab may be taken but attention towards cleaning rather than antibiotics

- Expectant approach if physiological
- Avoid forcible retraction
- Personal hygiene
- If persists after 2 years, plastic surgery or circumcision

Paraphimosis Management
A
- Gentle compression followed by reduction over glans
- Gradual manual reduction of prepuce over glans
- If this fails, refer to urologist
