Fibrocystic Change
A
- Most common benign breast disorder
- Presents with pain and nodularity
- Symptoms greatest one week before menstruation decrease when it starts
- Manage with analgesia and a well fitting bra
- Does not increase risk of cancer

A
- Common in middle age
- Palpable, tender lumps, may be recurrent
- Can cause discharge
- Refer

Breast Fibroadenoma
A
- Most common in young women (20-24 years of age)
- Firm, non-tender, highly mobile, palpable lumps
- Refer
- Complex and multiple are associated with increased risk of CA

Breast Cancer Pathway Referral Criteria
A
- Aged ≥30 with unexplained breast lump (with or without pain)
- Non-urgent referral if under 30
- Aged ≥50 with unilateral discharge, retraction, other changes of concern
