Robertson and Murre, key variables should be same as variables that determine plasticity in healthy brain. Bottom up stimulation involves external stimuli: cells that fire together wire together.

Behavioural change is essence. Permanent change in behavioural repertoire. Mapping is essential and feedback is important.
