Exposed unvaccinated pet
Euthanize
Vaccinate upon quarantine, Q for 4 months
Exposed vaccinated pet
Vaccinate immediately
45 day observation
Exposed unvaccinated human
Post-exposure prophylaxis with immunoglobulin
Rabies vaccine on days 0, 3, 7, 14
Exposed vaccinated human (good titers)
Vaccinate at days 0 and 3
If a healthy animal bites a human
Report to health department
10 day Q
Do not vaccinate the animal
Euthanize if symptoms develop
If stray/unwanted animal exposes a human
Euthanize
