A

Blindness
Seizures

A

Pre - no good test

Post - brain may fluoresce under UV light. Other signs (brain cavitation, swelling, necrosis, etc)

Treatment?

A

Early treatment is critical
Treat with thiamine, regardless of cause
Supportive care
Steroids if suspect edema
