What is the nature and use of questionnaires
- usually gathered from large numbers of people
- carried out on selected samples of people
- may include a mixture of open and closed questions
What are open questions
A range of answers is not restricted by the researcher e.g. how do you feel about…?
well don’t leave me hanging … how do i feel about what … I’m on the edge of my seat now
damn
jesus just tell me this is killing me
omg
hurry upppp
tell meeeeeeeeeeeee
still not over the fact you didn’t tell me but whatever so anyways what are closed questions ig
Possible answers are determined by the researcher, various types of these and best asked when factual information is needed e.g. age
What is a likehart question
my first thought at likehart was lionheart which i swear is the president in zootropolis … now stop thinking about nick wilde
The respondent indicates their agreement with a statement using a scale of usually five points. The scale ranges from strongly agree to strongly disagree
What 3 things need to be considered in a questionnaire design
- Clarity - so the reader understands
- Bias - leading questions can lead to a desirability bias
- Sequencing for the questions - start with easier questions until the respondent is more relaxed
- elishka’s dilated pupils
