- Plans: All sites must have plans in place to manage wastes, wastewater discharges, hazardous air emissions, and spill contingencies. These plans should be documented.
What does WSSS stand for?
Well Services Safety Standard
Explain WS std 5 - Well site operations
Set of rules for all well site activities (operations), from rig up(pre job meeting), execution of the job such as prime up, pressure test, flow back, approved hoses, approved treatment equipment.
Objective To prevent injury to Schlumberger and third party personnel and damage to
equipment involved with well site operations, as well as ensuring delivery of the
best service quality possible.
Explain WS std 18 Chemical product management
Set of rules for how to handle, store and pump chemicals.
This standard identifies the procedures for chemical product management, chemical hazard communication (HAZCOM), material handling, including purchase and inventory, and the use or sale of approved Well Services chemical products at all Well Services locations
Explain WS std 28 Land Pressure management operations.
Set of rules to identify risks and how to mange them related with land operations and pressure
This standard discusses risk identification and assessment for land pumping operations so that jobs are performed only where risks are acceptable.
Explain WS std 30 Mixing and Pumping flammable and combustible fluids
This standard applies when mixing, handling and pumping combustible and flammable materials. It includes handling of flammable and combustible components at the district or at the wellsite.
Because mixing and pumping combustible or flammable fluids presents risks, pre-job risk evaluation must be undertaken to determine if a job can be performed safely. The standard is a guide for evaluating and classifying risk.
