A

It is an elected body of 650 members from different political parties. It is more important than House of Lords as is the only democratically elected body.

What was the result of the CRA 2005? (3)

A

It brought in a number of key reforms, which have arguably further strengthened the independence of the judiciary. It was designed to address the separations of powers between the judiciary and the other two bodies of state. It led to the reorganisation of the House of Lords’ relationship with the judiciary.
