What is PA?
Inflammatory arthritis assoc with psoriasis
Who gets PA?
10-20% of patient’s with psoriasis
-Typically middle aged
Patterns of presentation?
- Symmetrical polyarthritis: hands, wrists, ankles, DIP joints
- Asymmetrical pauciurarthritis: mainly digits and feet
- Spondylitic pattern: Back stiffness, saroiliitis, atlanto-axial joiny involvement
- Other area: Spine, achilles, plantar fascia
Signs of psoriatic arthritis?
Plaques of psoriasis on skin
- Pitting of nails
- Onycholysis
- Dactylitis
- Enthesitis
What is dactylitis?
Finger inflammation
Other associated symptoms with psoriatic arthritis?
Eye disease
Aortitis
Amyloidosis

What is periostitis?
Periosteum inflammation
What is ankylosis?
Bones joining together= joint stiffening
What is osetolysis?
