Proxies Flashcards
What are proxies?
IT routes network traffic and gives access to external data
What is a reverse proxies?
This is where the proxy interacts with outside clients requests and gets data from the internal database and then sends it back to the outside client
What is the purpose of load balancing?
It is where a load balancer uses a virtual IP address so it can then send requests through mutiple resources evenly to balance network traffic
Wat is active passive load balancing?
Tit is where one network resource is active while the other is offiline or passive, if the ones goes offline then the other turns active and starts routing network traffic
How to implement load balancing?
Load balancing scheduling where the NICs route traffic even through your servers using a round robin technique
what is a weighted round robin?
It is the same as scheduling but with added granularity
What is least connection schedulaing?
IT is where network traffic is routed through the NICs to the server that is not being used as much at the time of the request, then is you added some granularity it is a weighted lease connection
